Quality Standards of an Achates Security Guards:
Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling both typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.Has a professional appearance and comes to work in a neat, clean and complete uniform.
Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.Comes to work on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned).
Understands and successfully executes his/her post commands including the enforcement of client rules and regulations, in addition to company policies.
Security Officer Basic Qualifications:Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law requirements.Must have a high school diploma or GED.Must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.Must have the highest standards of personal appearance and grooming.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.Must have no criminal convictions as specified under Achates Security/CA BSIS guidelines. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Hold a valid Drivers License. Driving record must meet company and/or insurance standards. Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard. Friendly and professional demeanor.
Security Guard Basic Job Responsibilities:Provide a highly visible security presence to help deter criminal activity and Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.Proactively patrol the assigned client site as instructed to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.Preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.Seek opportunities to interact with customers and clients, in a friendly, helpful and attentive manner in order to enhance their experience at the property.While on patrol, be alert and identify potential safety hazards, mitigate found hazards, and notify the client of conditions of concern.Respond to, investigate, and write reports on all incidents and accidents including medical emergencies, fires, alarms, bomb threats, etc. in accordance with the Post Command Manual.
